Sadtoday21: Hi everyone! I am one of the founders of the site and a regular contributor. I am 31 years old and have experienced two miscarriages thus far (a missed miscarriage/partial molar pregnancy at 12 weeks and a chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks). The missed miscarriage took place in February 2019, on the anniversary of my mum's death from breast cancer last year, so it was a very difficult time. When I learned about the partial molar, I thought I would have to have chemotherapy and I was really scared. I just received news from the hospital, however, that the partial molar issue is finally resolved. Now, I am trying to conceive again and starting this journey back at square one!
Kiki061190: I’m 28 years old, engaged to be married in 2021. I had always wanted children but hadn’t had the feeling I wanted one until this year. I decided to come off the pill I’d been on for 10 years in March and fell pregnant instantly. Miscarriage has only made me realise how important a family is to me. Too many people say ‘you’re young, enjoy yourself, you have all the time in the world!’ But I’ve realised that time is different for everyone and you should go with what you want. Always trust yourself and your own instinct!
